Just looking at them, what material would you say these dishes are made of? We would probably answer the same, but nothing of the sort. PLA is a material that, both visually and when you hold it in your hand, could perfectly well pass for a plastic made from petroleum derivatives.

Polylactic acid, commonly known as PLA, is a bioplastic obtained from natural resources such as corn starch. Both the production of this material and the manufacture of the plates is totally sustainable and environmentally friendly. There are many advantages that PLA dishes can offer you and you should know about them, we will tell you about them:

  • Dispose of them in a way that respects nature: if there is one advantage of PLA that should be highlighted above all others, it is that it is a biodegradable and compostable material.
